Getting Started with Installation
To install Risco Device Discovery, you need the administrator’s rights on the machine.

2.1 Prerequisites for Installing Risco Device Discovery
Prerequisites for using RDD:
• RDD will run successfully on Windows 7, Vista or Windows XP versions on both 32 bit and
64 bit platforms.
• Completely functional Ethernet, Serial RS-232 and USB ports are required for running RDD
successfully.
2.2 Installing Risco Device Discovery
To install Risco Device Discovery (RDD), perform the following actions:
1. Go to the location where the Risco Device Discovery.exe is located.

2. Double- click the Risco Device Discovery.exe to run the InstallShield Wizard. The Welcome screen
appears.
