Mic Positioning
Position the DE60x microphone element about 0.25” – 1” behind the corner of your mouth. Since
the DE60x is a unidirectional capsule, the low frequency characteristics will change depending on
the position of the microphone from the sound source.
The DE10x and DE50x are omnidirectional capsules and can be placed further away from your
mouth. However, if the microphone is too far away from your mouth you will need to increase the
gain and reduce isolation.
Do not place the microphone directly in front of your mouth in order to avoid breath noise and
p-pops. To minimize additional noise, do not locate the microphone tight against your cheek.
