Remove the two Mylar screw covers (1) and the six Torx T8M2.0×8.0 screws (2) that secure the
keyboard to the computer.

3.

Turn the computer right-side up, with the front toward you.

4.

Open the computer as far as possible.

5.

Lift the upper rear edge of the keyboard (1) until it releases, work your way across the top of the
keyboard toward the right while releasing the keyboard from the top cover, lift the rear of the
keyboard up until it rests at an angle (2), and then lift the keyboard up enough to gain access to
the cables underneath (3).

6.

Release the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector to which the keyboard cable is attached (1), and
then disconnect the keyboard cable from the system board.
