 Ping Before Notification - A threshold value for the maximum Pings allowed to each
interface on this device in a minute. The valid values range from 0 to 9999.
Management Assistant – SNMP
This section is only useful if you have SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol) software on a
PC or server. If you have SNMP software, you can use a standard MIB 2 file with the VPN 1400/2.
System Information
 Contact Person – The contact information for the person responsible for this device.
 Device name – The name of the Dual WAN VPN Firewall.
 Physical Location – The location of the Dual WAN VPN Firewall.
Community – A relationship between an SNMP agent and a set of SNMP managers that
defines authentication, access control, and proxy characteristics.
Trap Targets - Enter the IP address of any targets (PCs running SNMP software) that you
want to receive traps. All traps are level 1.
