SNMP Configuration

This page allows you to configure the Simple Network Management Protocol
(SNMP). The SNMP agent permits READ ONLY access to the switch. Any
system in the network using management software can be used to discover
the switch. You can set the following options:

Field Attributes

SNMP Enabled

– Enables or disables SNMP. (Default: Enabled)

Read Community

– Community string for read access to the SNMP

protocol.

Web

– Click SNMP, Configuration.

Ping Test

This operation allows you to test the network connections by sending an
Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) echo request packet from the
switch to other devices on the network. The page will display the results of
the operation.

Field Attributes

Ping Parameters

Target IP Address

– The IP address of the device to ping on the

network.

Count

– Number of packets to send. (Default: 1)

Time Out (in secs)

– Number of seconds to wait for a response.

(Default: 1)
