The printer does not respond
when “print” is selected in the
software. The printer is malfunctioning. Check the lights on the printer
to determine if the printer is
indicating an error.
The Attention light stays on. The printer is out of paper. Add paper to the printer.
Paper trays are installed
incorrectly. Make sure that Tray 2 or
optional Tray 3 are pushed in
all the way.
The Attention light is blinking The top cover of the printer is
open. Close the top cover securely.
The toner cartridge is missing
or not installed correctly. Make sure the toner cartridge
is installed. Try removing the
cartridge and re-installing it.
There is a paper jam in the
printer. See “Clearing Paper Jams” on
page 85.
