Select the proper tool

H. Crevice tool may be used in tight spac-

es, corners, and along edges in such places

as dresser drawers, upholstered furniture,

stairs and baseboards.
I. Combination tool may be used for

carved furniture, table tops, books, lamps,

lighting fixtures, venetian blinds, baseboards,

shutters and registers. May also be used for

upholstered furniture, draperies, tapestries,

mattresses and clothing.
J. Hard floor tool may be used for walls

and very irregular hard surface floors such as

brick and slate.

K. Powered hand tool may be used for

upholstered furniture, carpeted stairs, and

hard to reach places.

Variable speed control

The variable speed control (F) is located on the

canister.
Push the (—) button to reduce energy consump-

tion and to clean lightly soiled areas or delicate

fabrics. Push the (+) button for maximum clean-

ing power in heavily soiled areas. If the power

nozzle is difficult to push, push the (—) button to

reduce the power.

Edge cleaning

Special edge groomers are provided on both

sides of the nozzle to remove dirt in carpet near

baseboards and furniture. Guide side of noz-

zle parallel to edge of carpet or furniture as

shown.

Cleaning tools

The cleaning tools are conveniently stored in

the cleaner underneath the tool lid (M). Push

the tool lid release latch to open (N).
The cleaning tools have many uses. Select

the tool best suited for the cleaning task from

the following descriptions.

Attaching tools

Tools may be attached directly to the hand

grip or to the wand. Firmly push tool into the

hand grip or wand. Twist tool slightly to tight-

en or loosen connection.
