INSTALLATION

SWEEPER INSTALLATION

If

installed, remove the mower deck from the power unit. Refer to the removal procedure

in

the

HRC7000-series shop manual. Save the bolts and flange nuts used on the mower deck; they will be
reused when the mower deck is reinstalled.

If the optional hydraulic drive release is to be installed, install it now. Refer to the instructions included

with the hydraulic drive release.

With the power unit

on

a level surface, ignition

key removed, and blade control lever off, install
a 1/2-inch flat washer on each rear axle pivot
bolt in the Low Range position. Install the

original nuts and tighten to 76 ft-lb (103 N•m).

Set the cutting-height at the 2-1/2 inch position.

Open both pump bypass valves 1/2 turn, and set
tire pressures to 15 psi (193 kPa).

Support the sweeper arms with two 2x4" boards.

Raise the sweeper and support the sweeper

broom with the shipping pallet.

Support the back of the power unit with a floor jack.

Roll

power unit up to the sweeper, and connect

NUT (2)

the power unit to the sweeper using the eight

WASHER (2)

1/2 x 1-inch bolts and flange nuts. Tighten to 76
ft-lb (103 N•m).

Install the sweeper belt on the engine pulley and tensioner. Adjust the belt tension (see the mid-size

commercial mower owner's manual or shop manual).
