OPERATION
SWEEPING PATTERNS
These removal patterns will avoid sweeping material into unwanted places as well as eliminating a
second pass.
When it is possible to sweep material to the left and
right, as on a parking lot or long driveway, it is best
to start in the middle. Sweep from one end to the
other while sweeping material away from the center
to avoid having to rotate the broom angle.
If the material can only be swept to one side of a
driveway or sidewalk, begin opposite the discharge
direction. After making the first turn, rotate the
broom angle to the other side for the return pass. At
the end of each succeeding turn, rotate the broom
angle to maintain discharge toward the same side.
