Battery Installation

Insert the batteries while observing the positive(+) and

negative(-) polarities as Figure A

Service life of batteries

u

The batteries normally last for about one year although

this depends on operation and for what operations the

remote control is used.

u

If the remote control unit fails to work even when it is

operated near the player, replace the batteries

u

Use size AAAUM-4 batteries(2 pieces)

Notes:

u

Do not use rechargeable (Ni-Cd) batteries

u

Do not attempt to recharge, short circuit, disassemble,

heat or throw the batteries into fire

u

Do not drop, step on or impact the remote control

otherwise this may damage the parts or lead to mal-

function

u

Do not mix old and new batteries

u

If the remote control is not going to be used for a long

time, remove the batteries. Otherwise, electrolyte may

leak which may lead not only to malfunctioning but also

to burns if contact is made with the electrolyte

u

Wipe away any electrolyte leaking inside the remote

control, and install new batteries

u

If any electrolyte should come into contact with parts

of your body, wash it off thoroughly with water

Remote control operation range

u

The operation range of the remote control is no more

than about 5m from and within about 60 degrees of the

front of the unit (Figure B)

u

The operating distance may vary according to the

brightness of the room

Note:

u

Do not point bright lights at the remote control sensor

u

Do not place objects between the remote control unit

and the remote control sensor

u

Do not use remote control while simultaneously op-

erating the remote control of any other equipment
