3. With theparking brakeengaged

and your foot on thebrakepedal,

start theengineand movethe

gearshift lever through all of the

gear ranges. Allow sufficient time

for each gear to engage.
4. Latch the gearshift lever in P

(Park) and leavetheengine

running.
5. Removethedipstick, wiping it

clean with a clean, dry lint free rag.
6. Install thedipstick making sure

it is fully seated in the filler tube.
7. Removethedipstick and inspect

the fluid level. The fluid should be

in the designated areas indicated

by thefigureto theright.

Low fluid level

Do not drivethevehicleif thefluid

level is at the bottom of the

dipstick and theoutside

temperatures are above 10ºC

(50ºF).

Correct fluid level

Thetransaxlefluid should be

checked at normal operating

temperatures of 50ºC-60ºC

(120ºF-140ºF) on a level surface.

Thetransaxlefluid should be

within theMIN and MAX marks

shown on theindicator.
