With an assistant, set the lathe bed assem-
bly on the stand, orienting the front of the
headstock with the switch opening in the
stand leg. Bolt the lathe bed to the stand
using the eight

''-18 x 1 cap screws and
hex nuts supplied and tighten down (
Figure
4).

At this point tighten down all the bolts on the
stand. It is a good idea to do this with the
lathe set in place where it will be used.

Attach the long stand supports to each end
assembly using the

'' carriage
bolts provided (
Figure 3).
1.
Locate the paddle switch.
2.
Press the paddle switch into the cut-out on
the face of the leg as shown in
Figure 5.
Do not plug cord in until you are ready to
test run the lathe. See Test Run section for
instructions before initial run.

Attach the power wires to the back of the
paddle switch as shown in
Figure 6. Note—
The green ground wire MUST be securely
attached to the sheet metal leg.
