The Portable Case

The Portable Case is designed for rugged use and provides storage for

the Battery Pack and the Portable Suction Cup Transducer and a mount for
the Fishfi nder 240. The case is water resistant but is not designed to fl oat in
the event it should go overboard.

Use the two square eyelets located by the handle to secure the Fishfi nder 240
Portable Case to the boat.

The Suction Cup Transducer

Using the Portable unit you will still need to fi nd a suitable location for

the transducer. If you are in a slow moving boat such as a canoe or fl at
bottom boat, the mounting location is not as critical. Follow these simple
guidelines and you should be fi ne.

1. Look for clean (non-turbulent) water

2. Mount the transducer with approximately 1/2” extending beyond the

bottom of the boat.

3. Do not mount the transducer behind strakes on the bottom of the boat

or in the path of a prop.

4. If you experience poor reception, try another location.

WARNING! Speeds in excess or 20 MPH may cause the
transducer to fl y off and strike occupants of the boat.

Secure Fishfi nder 240 to the
boat using the provided eyelets
