What is the difference between
calculating the shortest and the
quickest route?

When preparing a route, it is possible to specify
that the system should calculate the journey on
the basis of the criterion "Quickest route" or
"Shortest route".
The criterion "Shortest route" selects the most
direct road journey between the points of
departure and arrival.
The criterion "Quickest route" calculates the
shortest route on roads which have the highest
average speeds.
You can therefore give priority to certain types of
road (motorways, trunk roads etc.) by modifying
their average speeds in the software's settings.
In Navigation mode, only the "Quickest route"
setting is used.

How do you go about installing the
DVD-ROM on the PC if you get an
error message when you start the
DVD-ROM?

If an error message appears when you try to
install the software on your PC, we suggest you
perform the following operations:
- empty the Windows temporary files folder: TEMP
- empty the temporary Internet files folder:
- check that you have enough free space on the

hard disk of your PC for the installation (approx
4GB).

- create a temporary folder on your PC’s hard

disk: for example: VMX930.

- copy the contents of the DVD-ROM to that

folder.

- while installing, disable the anti-virus software

on the PC.

- click on the “Setup” program to start the

installation procedure.
