answer a call alert

When you receive a call alert, you cannot
receive phone calls or walkie-talkie calls until
you do one of the following:

store a phone number
or walkie-talkie ID

You can store a phone number or walkie-talkie
ID (private ID) in Contacts:

Find it: / >

Contacts > [New Contact]

Enter a name for the new entry, then
press r. The entry’s name can contain
up to 20 characters.

Select a Ringer, then press r.

Select the entry type (Mobile, Walkie-Talkie,
Work1

, Work2, Home, Email, Fax, Pager, Msg Group,

IP, or Other). To store a walkie-talkie ID,
choose Walkie-Talkie.

Enter the number for the entry, then
press r.

Tip: When you store a walkie-talkie ID, be
sure to entire the entire number, including
the asterisks.

Press

K under Save to save the entry.

ICE - In Case of Emergency

To make it easier for emergency personnel to
identify important contacts, you can list your
local emergency contacts under “ICE” in your
phone’s contact list. For example, if your

Press the WT button to begin a
walkie-talkie call with the sender.

Queue Press

K under Queue to store the

call alert to the call alert queue.

Clear Press

K under Clear to dismiss

and delete the call alert.
