Find it: Press M> Personalize > Home Screen

Status indicators can display at the top of the
home screen:
1 Signal Strength Indicator − Vertical bars
show the strength of the network
connection. You cannot make or receive
calls when ! or ) displays.
2 GPRS Indicator − Shows when
your phone is using a high-speed
GPRS network connection. Indicators
show PDP context active * or packet
data available +.
3 Data Indicator − Shows connection
status.
4 Roam Indicator − Shows when
your phone is seeking or using a
network outside of your home network.
