Channels and Codes

Your phone has 10 channels and 15 codes.

Channels are divided into sets of frequencies that
allow you to make and receive Direct Talk calls.
Other parties may also be talking on the same
channel.

Codes help minimize interference from unwanted
messages and other disturbances when you are on
the same channel as others.

To have a conversation, all parties must be on the
same channel and code. For private Direct Talk
calls, the person you are calling must be in Direct
Talk and set to the same channel to which you are
set in order to receive your call.

Note: When making a Direct Talk call, all parties

that are on your code and channel can
hear your conversation.
