GPRS Indicator Indicates that your phone is using

a high-speed GPRS network connection (

)

). GPRS

allows faster data transfer speeds. The indicator does

not mean that you are in a call; only that you are

registered on the network with a GPRS connection.

Other possible indicators:

In Use Indicator Indicates when you are on a call, and when

you have a secure (

G

) or insecure (

F

) connection.

Roam Indicator Indicates when your phone uses

another network outside your home network (;). When

you leave your home network area, your phone roams

or seeks another network.

Text Case Indicator Indicates the text case when you are in a

text editor.

To change the case, press

0

(see page 36).

Message or Entry Method Indicator Indicates

when you have an active Chat session, or when you

have a new voice (f) or text (Ä) message waiting.

When you enter a text message, a number here

indicates how many more characters can fit in the

message.
