Problem

Tip

Cannot play back BD-video

(BD-ROM Profile 2.0).

Insert an SD Memory Card (1GB or more) which is formatted on this unit. Some

discs with BD-Live™ function require memory when playing back the content.
Do not remove the card during playback.
Make sure the write-protect switch on the SD Memory Card is not enabled.

Folder or files stored on DLNA home

media server are not displayed in the

file list or cannot be played back.

Check the setting on your home media server. (Refer to the user manual of

the home media server.)
Check the network connection and settings.

Cannot use Netflix feature.

Netflix is available only in the United States.
Check if the network connection is properly made.
Visit netflix.com/magnavox on your PC and become a Netflix member.

Cannot add movies or TV episodes

to the instant Queue.

Visit netflix.com on your PC.
You may add from the player or visit netflix.com and login to your account by web.

Even though the speed of the

Internet connection improves during

playback, the picture quality of Netflix

streaming movie does not improve.

The picture quality does not change during playback.
The picture quality differs depending on the speed of Internet connection at

the time the streaming video is loading.

The picture quality of streaming

movie (Netflix) is poor.

Check the speed of your Internet connection.
Contact your Internet service provider.

(You may need to improve the broadband speed.)

Streaming movie (Netflix) often stops

or starts buffering during playback.

Contact your Internet service provider.

(You may need to improve the broadband speed.)

Cannot use the VUDU service.

Check if the network connection is properly made.
VUDU is available only in the United States.

Cannot rent or buy movies / TV

shows on VUDU.

You need to activate the VUDU account.
Log into your account at http://my.vudu.com and check your payment information.

The picture quality of VUDU movie

is poor.

Check the speed of your Internet connection. You need speeds of at least 9

Mbps to this player for high quality uninterrupted playback.

VUDU movie often stops or starts

buffering during playback.

Check your Internet speed. The following are the required connection

speeds for picture quality for uninterrupted streaming.
SD quality (1 Mbps - 2 Mbps), HD quality (2.25 Mbps - 4.5 Mbps), HDX
quality (4.5 Mbps - 9Mbps)
Please confirm your Internet environment on www.vudu.com

Cannot load a Blu-ray Disc™ (stuck

in “Loading…” mode) cannot open

the disc tray to eject the disc.

Unplug unit from AC outlet for 20 seconds. Plug unit back in and press the

[

fl OPEN/CLOSE] on the unit to eject the disc.

The software update screen

appears after turning on the unit.

Please complete the software update.
When the software update has failed, the software update screen will keep

appearing after turning the unit on.

If the software update continues failing, please try it by using a blank SD Memory

Card with the update software installed to it’s root directory.

Buffering and/or network errors occur

while using Netflix or VUDU service

under a wireless network environment.

Please stop Netflix/VUDU and perform the Network Connection Test in “Settings”.

If no problems are found, unstable network speed may be the cause. Please

contact your Internet service provider.
