1 ON/OFF/ VOLUME CONTROL
Turns the radio on or off and adjusts the volume level.
2 ROTARY MODE SELECTOR KNOB (16-Position)
Allows you to select conventional and trunking modes.
3 THREE-POSITION (A B C) TOGGLE SWITCH
Allows you to select the radio LTR operating group or conventional
channel.
4 LED INDICATOR
Indicates the radio’s operating status; green/red/yellow light-emit-
ting diode (LED). (See “Indicator LED Indications” paragraph.
5 ORANGE TOP BUTTON
For future use.
6 SIDE BUTTON 1
Programmed at shipment for scan on/off function.
7 SIDE BUTTON 2
Programmed at shipment for “deleting nuisance modes.”
8 SIDE BUTTON 3
Programmed at shipment for monitor operation.
9 PUSH-TO-TALK (PTT) SWITCH
Puts the radio in the transmit mode.
10 MICROPHONE PORT
Accepts voice input to the radio’s microphone.
11 UNIVERSAL CONNECTOR
Provides access for programming, testing, and accessory connec-
tions.
12 NOISE-CANCELLING PORT
Reduces background noise during transmit.
