G Add detergent

It is important to use the right amount,
because . . .

. . . too little detergent results in:

– the laundry not getting clean, and

turning grey and stiff over time

– greasy deposits on the laundry

– limescale deposits on the heating

element

. . . too much detergent results in:

– excessive sudsing, which interferes

with proper agitation and leads to
poor wash, rinse, and spin results

– increased water consumption

because of an automatic additional
rinse cycle

– a burden to the environment
