Viewing images on a television

It is possible to view camera images on your television. The camera has a video-out terminal to make
the connection using the supplied AV cable. The camera is compatible with the NTSC and PAL stan-
dards. The video-output setting can be checked and set in the custom 2 section of the setup menu
(p. 96).

Turn off the television and the camera.

Insert the mini-plug end of the AV cable into the camera’s
AV-out terminal.

Plug the other end of the AV cable into the video and
audio input terminals on the television.

• The yellow plug is for the video output. The white plug is

for the monaural audio output.

Turn the television on.

Turn the camera’s mode dial to the playback position.
• The camera’s monitors will not activate when the

camera is attached to a television. The playback-mode
display will be visible on the television screen.
