This Procedure Includes the Following:

Replacing Hand Grips

Replacing LED Canopy

Replacing Throttle Lever

Removing/Installing Tiller Assembly

Removing/Installing Boot

PROCEDURE 4

TILLER

WARNING

After ANY adjustments, repair or service
and BEFORE use, make sure that ALL
attaching hardware is tightened securely
- otherwise, injury or damage may occur.

Turn Power OFF and remove key from
ignition. Disconnect battery harness
from motor lead.

REPLACING HAND GRIPS
(FIGURE 1)

1. Grasp the hand grip and twist it off of the handle bar.

2. Slide the NEW hand grip over the handle bar.

3. If necessary, repeat STEPS 1-2 for the other hand

grip.

3. Repeat this procedure for the other pointed locking

tab of the LED canopy.

4. Remove the EXISTING LED canopy and the

EXISTING rubber gasket.

5. Discard the EXISTING LED canopy and the

EXISTING rubber gasket.

NOTE: Before installing the NEW LED canopy, be
sure the NEW rubber gasket is between the NEW
LED canopy and the front cover.

6. Align the NEW LED canopy with the mounting

holes in the front cover and snap it into place.

7. Align the pointed locking tabs of the NEW LED

canopy with the mounting holes in the electronics
board, and snap the electronics board into place.

REPLACING LED CANOPY
(FIGURE 2)

NOTE: This procedure applies to all models EXCEPT
the Panther MX - 4.

1. Grasp one (1) of the pointed locking tabs of the

LED canopy under the front cover and squeeze
the ends of it together.

2. While squeezing the ends, slowly pull the pointed

locking tab through the front cover and through
the electronics board.

REPLACING THROTTLE LEVER
(FIGURE 3)

1. Remove the four (4) self-tapping screws and hous-

ings securing the cable cover to the tiller assembly.

NOTE: Save the four (4) self tapping screws and hous-
ings for reuse when installing the NEW throttle lever.

2. Slowly remove the cable cover from the tiller as-

sembly and allow it to hang by the connecting wires.

3. Remove the two (2) socket screws securing the

throttle lever to the potentiometer assembly.

4. Remove the throttle lever from the potentiometer

assembly.
