INITIAL SETTINGS (cont.)

Auto Set Up

A

Turn on the unit.

Press 1 on the unit or remote control. The Language
Select screen appears on the TV screen.

Select language

Press rt to place the pointer next to your desired
language (English, Russian or Arabic), then press ENTER
or e.

● The Clock Set screen appears.

C

Set the date and time.

D

Select the TV system.

Press rt to place the pointer next to the appropriate TV
system (refer to the table below).

E

Start Auto Channel Set.

Press ENTER or e.

● As Auto Set Up progresses, the

“q” mark on the TV screen
moves from left to right.

● When Auto Set Up is

completed, the lowest position
number will appear on the front
display panel. If “SCAN
COMPLETED

diplayed on the TV screen,
make sure that the aerial cable
is connected to the unit properly and press ENTER on the
remote control. The unit will try Auto Set Up again.

NOTES:

● If there is a power cut, or if you press 1 or SET UP while Auto

Set Up is in progress, Auto Set Up will be interrupted; be sure
to turn off the unit power once and try again from step

A.

● If no sound accompanies the picture or the audio sounds

unnatural on some channels that have been stored by Auto Set
Up, the TV system setting for those channels may be incorrect.
Select the appropriate TV system for those channels.

When you see the picture but the

audio can’t be heard or sounds unnatural”

The Auto Set Up simplifies installation by guiding you
through the procedures of setting the clock and tuner
channels – simply follow the on-screen menus that appear.

Before starting, make sure of the following:

● The TV aerial cable should be connected to the unit.

● The unit’s mains power cord should be connected to a

mains outlet.

● The “Video Channel Set“ (

pg. 13) should be performed

and the TV should be set to its AV mode (with AV
connection

pg. 9) or UHF channel (with RF connection

pg. 9).

● Slide the TV/VCR/DVD switch on the remote control to the

right.

Press rt to set the time,
then press ENTER or e. The
“DATE” display begins
blinking. Repeat the same
procedure to set the date and
year.

● When you set the time/date,

press and hold rt to change
the time by 30 minutes/15
days.

DO NOT press any button on the unit or remote

control while Auto Set Up is in progress.

Auto Channel Set is performed next. Auto Channel Set scans
all the channels that are receivable by your unit. During Auto
Channel Set, the channel numbers are displayed as they are
scanned and set.

ATTENTION

If you perform Auto Set Up successfully during installation,

there’s no need to separately perform the Clock Set or

Channel Set procedures, but if adjustments become

necessary, they can be performed as follows:
