• While zoomed in, the picture may look coarse.
• To return to normal playback
Press ENTER.

During playback or while paused
1 Press ZOOM + or –.
The unit zooms in by pressing ZOOM + or zooms
out by pressing ZOOM –.
Each time you press ZOOM +, the magnification is
doubled (up to x 1024).
Each time you press ZOOM –, the magnification is
halved (down x to 1/8).
At the top-left of the screen, the information for
the current magnification appears, as well as the
zoomed-in position of the scene that can be
moved by operating the next step.
2 Use CURSOR 5/∞/2/3 to move the
zoomed-in position.
2 Press and hold 8 for more than 1 second.
Nine continuous still
pictures appear on
the TV screen.
• Pressing 8 when the nine still pictures appear advances to
the next still picture.
• To cancel strobe play
Press and hold 8 for more than 1 second.
• If you press and hold 8 for more than 1 second during
playback, nine still pictures also appear but they advance
in realtime.

During playback

8, then use the SHUTTLE knob.
To play forward slow-motion, turn the SHUTTLE
knob to the right. To play reverse slow-motion (for
DVD Video discs only), turn it to the left. The more
you turn the knob, the more the slow-motion
speed increases.
• To return to normal playback
Press 3.
• To pause slow-motion playback
Release the SHUTTLE knob.
• The sound is muted during slow-motion playback.
• Reverse slow-motion playback is not possible for a
Video CD.
