Using the RM-12

The RM-12 is a sophisticated, two-way remote control, which uses an infrared light (IR) signal to
send and receive information. In order to complete an instruction sequence, the RM-12 must be

aimed at the I-Mix unit until all the commands
have been executed. When you press a button, the
remote sends a signal to the IM-120, which
processes the signal. In return, the IM-120 sends
back information which is displayed on the
remote’s LCD screen. If it cannot complete the
communication sequence, the RM-12 will display
an “IR Retry” prompt.

The remote also has a unique three-step power button that allows it to enter an idle energy-saving
mode if unused for more than 5 minutes. Take a moment to review the chart below, which
illustrates the functions of the power button.
