TROUBLESHOOTING

When you experience any problems operating the
printer, refer to the following tables.

What to do in case of...

Print Fault

Smudged printing

1. Check the connection of the RS-232C

cable connector (See “Printing via the
RS-232C Interface” on page 3)

2. The printer and IrDA host must be

within 15 or 20m of each other. The
host must be located within a from
the center of the IrDA filter (com area)
of the printer. (See “Printing via the
IrDA Interface” on page 4)

3. Check the communication protocol

settings

4. Double-check Dip Switch settings

5. Replace the print head.
