Learning from Another Remote Control
Before using learning mode, set both remotes on a flat surface so that the device’s remote control IR is pointed
at the SUR-47’s learning eye, which is located at the bottom of the unit.
1. Press or to select LEARN .

Point the target device's remote
control at the SUR-47 learning eye
located at the base of the unit
(see Figure 1A: SUR-47 Front View).
4. Press the button corresponding to
the target device.
The SUR-47 Touch Screen sequentially displays screens
corresponding to first the hard keys, then page one of the
soft keys, and finally page two of the soft keys. The blinking
rectangle denotes the key being learned.
5. Press the corresponding button of
the target device's remote
control.
The SUR-47 screen displays an OK
message if the code was
successfully learned or an ERROR
message if the code was not
learned.
Press PAGE to toggle between
hard and soft key displays.
Note: When the remote has
learned the last button on the
page, the next page is
automatically displayed.
6. Press EXIT to exit learning mode.
