2.3.2.1 ACC 2 CONNECTOR
This cable allows connections to a VHF, NMEA device with NMEA Output or the Input of
the optional Radar antenna.
* NOTE: RADAR Antenna connection (optional)
When an optional Radar antenna is connected to the CP500, Port 5 of the NMEA In/Out is
disabled. Contact Standard Horizon for details or refer the Radar Antenna’s manual for
setup details.
VHF Connections
To connect the CP500 to the above VHF wires a port will be needed to be selected. Refer
to the ACC 2 connections for a connection example.
NOTE
The optional FF520 uses port 2 when connected and the optional Radar antenna uses port 5. When
these optional devices are connected use port 1, 2 or 4 Input and Output to connect to the VHF radio.
Some manufacturers of DSC VHF’s are not capable of receiving NMEA DSC sentences from the
CP500. Refer to the Owner’s Manual and confirm the VHF can receive NMEA DSC and DSE
sentences.
