Bluetooth Hands-Free Device

9.

Use either your QWERTY keypad or keypad to enter a new Device Name

for the external Bluetooth device and tap the desired services available to
that same device.

10.

Tap the Finish soft key to complete the process.

Accepting a Bond

To accept an incoming bond, follow these steps:

1.

Make sure that Bluetooth is turned on and the device is discoverable.

2.

When prompted to bond with the another device, tap the Yes soft key.

3.

Enter the numeric passcode/passkey and press the Next soft key. You are

then notified the pairing is in progress.

4.

Use either your QWERTY keypad or keypad to enter a new Device Name

for the external Bluetooth device and tap the desired services available to
that same device.

5.

Tap the Finish soft key to complete the process.

Renaming a Bond

The name of each bond can be changed, if necessary, by following these steps:

1.

Make sure that the two devices are within range and that Bluetooth is

discoverable on both devices.

2.

Tap Settings (

). By default, the Personal tab is highlighted.

3.

Tap the Connections tab.

4.

Tap Bluetooth (

) and then select the Devices tab.

5.

Tap the bond you want to rename.

6.

In the Display Name field, enter a new name for the bond.

7.

Tap the Save soft key to save your changes and return to the previous

screen.

Bluetooth Hands-Free Device

You can use a Bluetooth Hands-free device with your i760.

1.

Create bond between your i760 and the Bluetooth Hands-free device. For

more information, refer to "Creating Bluetooth Bonds" on page 147.

2.

If the Hands-free device has Bluetooth wireless technology functionality,

the message “Would you like to designate (Hands-free device name)
as a hands-free device?
” displays.
