1.

From the Music menu, select the music source your want to search (Music Library,
Napster, or Rhapsody.)

2.

Select Search, and press OK.

3.

Use the scroll wheel to select your search criteria (artists, albums, [composers], or
tracks), and press OK.

Type a full or partial name, and press Search.

5.

If you do not receive any search results, press the Back button to try again.

Music Library Preferences

Sort folders by preference

You can set the sorting preference for music folders that are accessible from your music
library. You can choose to sort by:

• Track name

• Track number

• Filename

Using the Desktop Controller

1.

From the File menu (Windows) or Sonos menu (Macintosh), select Preferences.

2.

Click the Library tab, and select your sort order preference from the drop-down
Sort By field.

Using the Sonos Controller

1.

From the Music menu, select System Settings>Advanced Settings>Sort
Folders By
.

2.

Select your sort order preference, and then press OK.

Compilation albums

If your music collection contains compilations and soundtracks, you may want to
group these songs together in your music library instead of viewing them by individual
artist. This means that any artists that appear solely on compilations will not appear in
your Artists list. There are two ways you can group compilations within Sonos:
