GPS

GPS signal cannot be received.

• The system cannot receive GPS signals due to an obstruction.

tMove your car somewhere clear.

• GPS signal reception is low.

tActivate the

GPS Meter

application and check the GPS signal values.

• The GPS antenna is incorrectly installed.

tInstall the GPS antenna where the signal is not interrupted by the body of the car,

and install the antenna horizontally on the roof.
For details, refer to the Installation/Connections manual.

• The GPS antenna is not properly connected to the car cradle.

tInsert the connector of the antenna cable until it clicks into the GPS ANT port of

car cradle.
For details, refer to the Installation/Connections manual.

The map of my current GPS location does not match the current road when
using the StreetFinder application.

The error margin of the signal from the GPS satellites is too large. An error margin of
a few hundred meters can exist in the worst case.

Function

The built-in speaker does not work for the Text-to-voice function.

Is the volume too low? Is the ATT on?

The volume adjustment and ATT button does not work.

You can adjust the volume level only while the Text-to-voice application is being used
or read out.

The FM transmitter output does not function.

• Is the FM transmitter disabled?

Check the

FM Transmitter

check box on the

Sound

setting (page 62). If

interference noise during audio playback occurs, change the frequency of the
transmitter.

• Is the FM transmitter frequency properly set?

tTune the car audio radio frequency to that set for the FM transmitter.

When the SONY-BUS connection adapter is connected between Sony car audio
and the car cradle, the FM transmitter is disabled.

The LINE-OUT output does not function.

When the SONY-BUS connection adapter is connected between Sony car audio and
the car cradle, the LINE-OUT output does not function.

Music is not being heard from the built-in speaker.

The built-in speaker is only for Text-to-voice applications, not for music.
