Click the Device Manager tab, then double-click Network
adapters.

Double-click the network card you want to disable.

Click the General tab, then select the Disable in this
hardware profile check box.
Windows 2000:

From the Start menu, point to Settings, then select Control
Panel.
The Control Panel appears.

Double-click System.
The System Properties dialog box appears.

Click the Hardware tab, then click Device Manager.
The Device Manager window appears.

From the View menu, select Devices by type.
