4. Mount the drive in the host system.
To mount an “LC” drive, plug the drive into the system’s sin-
gle connector attachment (SCA) position on the system’s
backplane. The SCA connector on the drive contains inter-
face and power functions, so it does not require a separate
power connector. The dimensions of the drive are provided
in Figure 15.
Some host systems require that you first mount the drive to
a sliding tray or courier before inserting it into the system.
This drive model plugs directly into a backplane connector
and therefore does not use cables.
