z Finding a particular point on a disc
(Search)
You can quickly locate a particular point on a disc by searching forward or
backward during playback.

During playback, press the or SCAN button.
Search speed changes as shown below each time you press the button.

Press the H PLAY button when you reach the point you are
searching for.
Playback returns to normal speed.
Using the Control Panel

During playback, press the DISPLAY button to display the
Control Panel and then use the directional buttons to select
the
(Search, Fast Backward) or (Search, Fast Forward)
icon. Then press and hold down the
✕ button to begin
searching.
Search speed begins from Search 2.
Press the up or down directional button to change speeds while
searching.

Release the
✕ button when you reach the point you are
searching for.
Playback returns to normal speed.
Note
This function may not be available on some DVDs.
