Number Mode

Number mode enables you to enter numbers into a text
message. Press keys corresponding to the desired digits,
and manually switch back to the text entry mode of
choice.

Symbolic Mode

Symbolic mode enables you to enter symbols into a text
message.

To scroll through the symbols available, press the
navigation keys. Press the keys corresponding to the
desired mark and then the phone automatically switches
back to the text entry mode used just prior to selecting
Symbols mode.

Using Help

On-screen help is available by selecting Help from
the Mode menu. Use the

and

keys to scroll

through the Help information.

In-Call Options

Your phone provides a number of control functions that
you can use during a call.

Putting a Call on Hold

You can place the current call on hold whenever you
want. You can make another call while you have a call
in progress if this service is supported by the network.
Of these two calls, one is active and the other is on hold
and you can swap between the calls.

To place a call on hold, simply press the Hold soft key.
You can reactivate the call whenever you want, by
pressing the Unhold soft key.

To make a call while you have a call in progress,
proceed as follows.

1. Key in the phone number that you wish to dial or look

it up in the phonebook.

2. Press the

key to dial the second call.

The first call is automatically put on hold.

Or alternatively, proceed as follows.

1. Put the current call on hold by pressing the Hold soft

key.

2. Make the second call in the normal way.
