Replacing the interior lamp
T
he work caboose is illuminated by one red lamp (Lionel part no. 630-6548-300). During
the course of normal operations, you may find that this lamp requires replacement.
Replacement lamps are available at your authorized Lionel Service Center or from Lionel
Service in Chesterfield, Michigan.
To change the lamp, carefully lift the cabin straight up until the four tabs have cleared the
slots in the frame. Also, make sure that the ladder on the end platform clears the slot in the
roof of the cabin. Refer to Figure 12 below. Next, pull the bulb straight up and out of the lamp
socket, then install the replacement. Replace the cabin, making sure that the ladder fits back
into the slot in the roof.
