OUTPUT PROBLEMS

The machine does not have maxi-
mum output.

1. Make certain the correct three-

phase input voltage is being
applied to the machine.

2. If remote control is being used,

set the Output Control switch
(S2) in the OUTPUT CONTROL
“LOCAL” position and control
the weld output with the
machine Control potentiometer
(R4). If the problem is solved,
check the remote control unit
(or wire feeder) and associated
control cable.

Check the Output Control
potentiometer (R4). Normal
resistance is 10,000 ohms.
Also check associated wiring
for loose or faulty connections.
See Wiring Diagram.

2. Check the welding Mode switch

(S4), the microswitches, and the
associated wiring.

3.

Check the Output Control
switch (S2) and associated
wiring. See Wiring Diagram.

4. Perform the Main Transformer

Test.

5. Perform the SCR/Diode Rec-

tifier Bridge Test.

6.

The control board may be
faulty. Replace.
