Liquid damage
Caution:
L To avoid permanent damage, do not use a microwave oven to speed up the drying process.
I cannot operate the answering system
remotely. L You are entering the wrong remote access code. If you
forgot the remote access code, store a new remote
access code (page 39).
L Press each key firmly.
L The answering system is turned off. Turn it on (page 40).
L You are using a rotary/pulse telephone. Try again using a
touch-tone phone.
While recording a greeting message or
listening to messages, the unit rings
and recording stops. L A call is being received. Answer the call and try again
later.
Problem Cause/solution
Liquid or other form of moisture has
entered the base unit/handset. L Disconnect the AC adaptor and telephone line cord from
the base unit. Remove the batteries from the handset and
leave to dry for at least 3 days. After the base unit/handset
are completely dry, reconnect the AC adaptor and
telephone line cord. Insert the batteries and charge fully
before use.
