Playing Songs with DJS

You can use your MEP-7000 to operate either Player A or Player B on the [DJ Play] screen.

After pressing the [BROWSE] button, press the [DJS] function button.

• The list of songs in the track list or play list shown in the [DJ Play] screen are

displayed in the MEP-7000’s center display.

Press either the LOAD A or the LOAD B button.

• LOAD A button:

Audio is output for player A in the [DJ Play] screen from the Audio output
connectors A of the MEP-7000’s drive unit.

• LOAD B button:

Audio is output for player B in the [DJ Play] screen from the Audio output
connectors B of the MEP-7000’s drive unit.

Operate either Controller A or Controller B.

• When you operate the various controls on your MEP-7000, such as the jog dial or

the tempo control slider, it operates the player in the [DJ Play] screen.

Selecting and Playing Music

If you press the LOAD A button (or the LOAD B
button) while a song is selected in DJS, the
selected DJS song is loaded onto Player A (or
Player B) and the audio is output from the audio
OUT jack A (or audio OUT jack B) of the MEP-
7000’s Drive unit.

Spin (when in scratch mode)

If you spin the jog dial of your MEP-7000 very
quickly, even after you let go of it, it will continue
playing at the speed and in the direction that the
jog dial is rotating until it stops. You cannot do
this spin play with the mouse.

Simultaneous Operations

You can do the following operations at the same
time from an MEP-7000 Control unit.

If you rotate the jog dial while holding down

the SEARCH button, it accelerates the search
play speed.

While playing a cue point sample, if you hold

down the CUE button, you can operate controls
like the jog dial or the PITCH BEND button.

When playing a cue point sample, if you hold

down the CUE button and the press the PLAY
button, even if you let go of the CUE button, it
keeps on playing without returning to the cue
point.

When playing a cue point sample, if you hold

dowvn the CUE button and press a loop
operating button (IN/CUE), the playback point
is recorded as the cue point. When you release
the CUE button, it returns to the cue point and
stands by.

When you are in the SCRATCH JOG mode, if

you hold down the jog dial and press the CUE
button, the playback point is recorded as the
CUE point. When you rvelease the jog dial, it
returns to the cue point and stands by.

When in the SCRATCH JOG mode, if you hold

down the jog dial and press a loop operating
button (IN/CUE), the playback point is
recorded as the cue point. Even when you
release the jog dial, it continues playing
without returning to the CUE point.

with the [DJ Play] screen.
