SERIALIZATION FUNCTION
This function can be used to pri nt m any copi es of the s ame t ext while i ncreasing a certain
val ue in the t ext aft er each label is pri nted. This type of automatic increm entation i s very us e-
ful when printing serial number labels , patch panel label s or ot her labels requiring ascending
codes.
To use the numbering function:
1 Hold down and press . The m essage “SERIALIZE NUMERIC”
appears in the dis play. Cont inue t o hold down and press to toggle
between NUMERIC and ALPHABETIC serialization.
2 When you rel ease , the message “START VALUE” appears in the dis-
play. Type the number or letter of the first value to be printed and press .
3 The message “END VALUE” appears in the display. Type the number or letter of
the last value to be printed and press .
4 The message “INCREM ENT BY” appears in the di splay. Type the number of the
increment value desired and press .
5 The seri ali zation will be denot ed on t he display as a “

" for a one di git serializat ion
and “
ΩΩ ΩΩ ΩΩ ΩΩ
“ for a t wo di git seri ali zation.
☞ Check your cassette before printi ng a large seri alizati on to ensure suf ficient tape i s
avai lable.
To print a four position pat ch panel label for Building A:
1 Position the cursor next to the “A”.
