Creating and Editing Groups

Recipient groups can only be created or edited using the [Wireless settings] option in the
camera’s setup menu. The Utility cannot be used to create or edit groups.

Mobile Telephones Compatible with Picture Mail

The use of mobile telephone e-mail addresses for Picture Mail is only possible in Japan and the
United States, and is supported only for mobile telephones with the following specifications.
• Japan: 3G mobile telephones by NTT DoCoMo FOMA, KDDI au WIN, and SoftBank 3G
• U.S.A.: BlackBerry smartphones (version 4.0 or later recommended).
These mobile telephones can receive e-mail notification of picture upload for which mobile
telephone e-mail addresses are specified as recipients. However, pictures cannot be viewed
with some of these mobile telephones.

Protecting my Picturetown Settings Information

A password can be applied to prevent access to wireless network information

entered in the camera, including the network profiles and recipient e-mail

addresses, by third parties if the camera should be lost or stolen, or otherwise

compromised. In addition, all camera settings can be restored to their default

settings and data stored in the camera’s internal memory can be deleted

before the camera is transferred to another owner or discarded.

Applying a Password

Follow the procedure described below to apply a password with the camera.

When a password is applied, the correct password must be entered to use

my Picturetown services.

Select [Password] from the [Wireless

settings] option in the camera’s setup

menu and press d.

The password screen will be displayed.

Select [Set/change password] and press
d

Wireless LAN settings for wireless features have been configured.

Before using the wireless features, applying a password with the

camera is recommended (c 134).
