Note on motion detection

Motion detection is based on changes in the surrounding temperature,
and thus it may react to flows of warm air, for example, when opening a
door, if the camera is pointed towards the door. Also the distance from
which the camera detects motion depends on the surrounding
temperature: the greater the difference between the surrounding
temperature and human body temperature, the farther the camera
detects motion.

The camera does not detect motion if there are walls or windows
obstructing heat between the moving object and the camera.

Figure 8 presents the coverage area of the motion detector. Position the
camera so that the detected persons walk across the coverage area; not
directly towards the camera.
