Play sound when message arrives

—Select if you want a

tone to sound when a new message is received.

—Select the default message

format for your e-mail messages.

Select the account you wish to edit, and tap

account settings dialog opens. Select from the following

Contact your service provider for the correct settings.

Account page

Account title

—Enter a title for the account.

Retrieve

—Select whether the device retrieves message

headers only, or messages and attachments.

Retrieval limit

—Select a limit for the number of e-mail

messages to retrieve.

Leave messages on server

—Check this box if you want the

messages to remain on the server when you retrieve them.

User info page

Name

—Enter your name.

User name

and

Password

—Enter your user name and

password.

E-mail address

—Enter your e-mail address. The maximum

length is 64 characters.

Signature

—To edit your signature, tap

Edit

Incoming page

Incoming server—Enter the host name or IP address of the
POP3 or IMAP4 server that receives your e-mail.

Secure connection

—Define the security setting for

incoming messages. Follow the instructions given by your
service provider.

Port

—Follow the instructions given by your service

provider.

Use secure authentication

—Select if you want the system

to use secure authentication.

Outgoing page

Outgoing server (SMTP)

—Enter the host name or IP

address of the server that sends your e-mail.

Use secure authentication

—Select if you want the system

to use secure authentication.

User name

and

Password

—When secure authentication is

used, define a user name and password.
