Text Telephone (TTY) and Teletype Device for the
Deaf (TDD) device compatibility

Your Nokia phone is equipped with a universal 2.5mm enhancement jack
that can be used to connect any “cellular ready” or “cellular compatible”
TTY/TDD device’s cable to your phone.

Important: Once your TTY/TDD device is connected to your phone,
you must use the phone’s menu (Menu > Settings > Enhancement
settings
> TTY/TDD) to enable the TTY/TDD mode.

LPS-4 mobile inductive loopset

The LPS-4 Loopset is a Nokia enhancement designed to make the 3586i
phone more accessible to hearing-aid users.

The Nokia Loopset gives hearing-impaired wireless customers clear access
to digital telephony. With the loopset, people who use a T-coil equipped
hearing aid can make and receive calls without noise interference.
