Viewfinder Playback and Playback Features
Stop-Action Pause
• During playback, press PAUSE to “stop the action”
and view one frame of the tape.
• During stop-action pause, press REW or FF
(F.FWD on remote) to visually search the picture.
Release the button to return to stop-action pause.
• Press PAUSE again (or PLAY) to return to normal
playback.
Frame Advance
• During playback, press PAUSE to “stop the action”
and view one frame of the tape. Press F.ADV
(frame advance) on the remote to advance the tape
one frame at a time.
• Press PAUSE (or PLAY) to return to normal
playback.
Slow-Motion Playback
• During playback or stop-action pause, press SLOW
on the remote to start slow-motion playback.
• Press PLAY to return to normal playback or
PAUSE to return to stop-action pause.
• If noise bars appear during slow-motion playback,
repeatedly press one of the SCENE SEARCH
buttons.
Visual Searching
• During playback, press and hold F.FWD (fast
forward) or REW (rewind) if you want to visually
search the tape in forward or reverse.
• Release the button to return to normal playback.
See Viewfinder’s Displays on TV.
• Press DISPLAY on the remote to see the
viewfinder displays on the TV screen.
• Press DISPLAY again to remove the displays.
1. Slide POWER to VCR.
2. Insert the cassette you want to play back.
Caution: Pause is designed for momentary
interruptions and should not be used for an
extended period of time. If the camcorder
remains in the pause mode for more than five
minutes, it will automatically move the tape
away from the spinning heads to prevent
excessive tape wear.

Viewfinder Playback
Viewfinder playback lets you watch tapes in the viewfinder.
Playback Features
Notes: During pause and search operations, it is normal for streaks to appear in the picture.
The sound is muted during special playback operations.
