Setting the VCR Code
In order to let the digital receiver control your VCR, you need to connect
the VCR Controller. (For instructions on how to make the connection, see
page 10.) You will then need to tell the digital receiver which VCR brand
you are using. This is done by selecting Set VCR Code from the Set-up &
Test menu.
1. Use the arrows or digit keys to input the correct code for your VCR
brand. The VCR Codes are located on page 13.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to ensure that you are using the
correct code. If the VCR automatically stops tape play, then you
know that the Receiver and the VCR are communicating.
Some older VCR brands may not be capable of being controlled by the
digital receiver.
