PERATING DVD
PLAYBACK
DVD CD ( MP3 JPEG on page 32)
Before:
Turn on the amplifi er and any other equipment which is connected to this
unit.
Make sure the external audio receiver (not included) are set to the correct
channel.

Press [POWER] to turn on the unit.

Insert a disc with label facing left from the right side of
the unit.

The unit switches to the DVD mode when the unit was
in TV mode and detects the type of disc.
DVD
e.g.) DVD disc
• Press [PLAY B] if the unit does not go to the DVD
mode.

The disc starts playback.

Press [STOP C] to stop playback.

Press [EJECT] to eject the disc.
NOTE:
• When you play an MP3 or a JPEG-format disc, details on page 32.
• A “prohibited icon” may appear at the top-
right on the TV screen when the operation is
prohibited by the disc or this unit.
• Some DVDs may start playback from title 2 or 3 due to specific
programs.
• During the playback of a 2-layered disc, pictures may stop for
a moment. This happens while the 1st layer is being switched
to the 2nd layer. This is not a malfunction.
5 DVD MENU
DVD
Some DVDs contain menus which allow you to custom-
ize DVD playback.
• Press [DISC MENU] and, use [K / L / s / B] to select
an item, then press [ENTER] (or [PLAY B]).
Calling up a Menu screen during playback
• Press [DISC MENU] to call up the DVD menu.
• Press [TITLE] to call up the title menu.
NOTE:
• Menu operations may vary depending on the disc.
Refer to the manual accompanying the disc for more details.
RESUME
DVD CD MP3 JPEG
Press [STOP C] during playback.
Resume message will appear on
the TV screen.
Press [PLAY B] to start resume
playback where you left off.
NOTE:
• To cancel resume information, press [STOP C] again in the stop
mode. On some discs, [STOP C] will not work while the resume
message appears. Please wait until the message disappears.
• The resume information will be kept even when unit is in
standby mode. For MP3 and JPEG, playback will resume from
the beginning of the track at which playback was stopped.
PAUSED AND STEPBYSTEP PLAYBACK
DVD CD MP3 JPEG
Press [PAUSE F] during playback.
• Playback will be paused and sound will be muted.
• Press [PAUSE F] once during Dual/Folder
playback to pause a JPEG file only. Press
[PAUSE F] one more time to pause an MP3
track.
To continue playback, press [PLAY B].
DVD
The disc goes forward one frame at a time.
[PAUSE F] is pressed in the pause mode.
To continue playback, press [PLAY B].
NOTE:
• Set “STILL MODE” to “FIELD” in the “OTHERS“ setting if pictures
in the pause mode are blurred. (Refer to page 43.)
