Stereo Sound Mode

CD

This unit allows you to select a sound mode during CD playback.

Press [AUDIO] repeatedly until the desired sound
mode appears.

STEREO

• Each time you press [AUDIO], the audio language

changes as example below.

STEREO (Right and left channels are active.)

L-ch

(Left channel is active.)

R-ch

(Right channel is active.)

NOTE:

• Virtual Surround cannot be changed when the sound mode is

set to either L-ch or R-ch.

You can enjoy virtual surround sound on your existing 2 channel stereo
system.

During playback, press [MODE] repeatedly until the

“ appears.

Press [ENTER] to select the sound level.

1 : Natural effect.
2 : Emphasized effect.
OFF

: No effects (original sound).

To exit the Virtual Surround setting,
press [BACK/RETURN].

NOTE:

• The setting will be kept even if the unit is turned off.
• On Audio CDs, Virtual Surround will not be effective if the

sound mode is set to something other than “STEREO”.
Refer to “Stereo Sound Mode”.

• Turn down the level or select “OFF” if the sound is distorted.

Marker Setup

This feature allows you to assign a specifi c point on a disc to be called back
later.

To set a marker

During playback, press [SEARCH MODE] repeatedly
until the “

“ appears.

Use [s / B] to select a desired marker within 30 sec-
onds.

Press [ENTER] to set the marker.

To exit the Marker setup display,
press [BACK/RETURN].

To return to the marker later

In stop mode, press [SEARCH MODE] repeatedly until

“ appears.

Use [s / B] to select a desired marker within 30 sec-
onds.

or

Press [ENTER] at the desired marker to restart playback
from the specific point which you set.

NOTE:

• The Marker display will disappear in about 30 seconds when

there is no input.

• You can mark up to 10 points.
• To clear a marker, select the marker to be cleared at step

2

in

the section “To set a marker” or “To return to the marker later”,
and then press [CLEAR].

• Ejecting the disc or turning off the power will erase all markers.
• Selecting “

” at step

in the section “To set a marker” or “To

return to the marker later” will also erase all markers.
