INTRODUCTION
Remote Control
TV POWER
Switches TV ON and OFF.
INPUT
- Selects the VCR deck’s source
(Tuner, LINE 1, or LINE 2) in VCR mode.
- Selects the TV external source in TV mode.
AUX
To listen to an audio source connected to the
DIGITAL AUDIO IN (OPTICAL) jack with
video from LINE 1.
SOUND MODE
Selects sound mode between BYPASS, PRO
LOGIC, PRO LOGIC II (MOVIE, MUSIC,
MATRIX) and 3D SURROUND.
OPEN/CLOSE, EJECT ( )
- Opens and closes the disc tray.
- Ejects the tape in the VCR deck.
0-9 numerical buttons
Selects numbered options in a menu.
ZOOM
Enlarges DVD/VCD video image.
ANGLE
Selects a DVD camera angle if
available.
SUBTITLE
Selects a subtitle language.
AUDIO
Selects an audio language (DVD) or an audio
channel (CD).
SLOW
Forward slow playback of tape.
STOP
Stops playback.
PAUSE/STEP
Pause playback or recording
temporarily/press repeatedly for
frame-by-frame playback.
PLAY
Starts playback.
REW
- For fast reverse picture search.
- Rewinds the tape during the STOP mode.
FWD
- For fast forward picture search.
- Advances the tape during the STOP mode.
SKIP ( . )
- Skip to beginning of current DVD/CD chap-
ter or track, press twice in quick succession
to go to previous DVD/CD chapter or track.
- Press and hold for a fast reverse picture
search in DVD mode.
SKIP ( > )
- Skip to next DVD/CD chapter or track.
- Press and hold for a fast forward picture
search in DVD mode.
REC/ITR (z z)
Records normally or activates Instant Timer
Recording.
REPEAT A-B, SP/SLP
- Repeats sequence.
- Selects recording speed.
REPEAT
Repeat chapter, track, title, all.
RANDOM
Plays tracks in random order.
POWER ( I/1 )
Switches DVD/VCR Receiver ON and OFF.
TV
To control multi-brand TV.
DVD/CD
To control DVD/CD operating.
VCR
To control VCR operating.
FM/AM
Selects the DVD/VCR Receiver’s tuner as
the listening choice (FM and AM bands).
PROGRAM
Accesses or removes Program menu.
COUNT RESET, CLEAR
- Resets tape counter to 0:00:00
- Removes a track number on the
program menu or a mark on the
MARKER SEARCH menu.
TOP MENU
Displays the disc’s Title menu, if available.
DISC MENU
Accesses menu on a DVD disc.
RETURN
- Removes the setup menu.
- Displays the menu of a video CD with
PBC.
TUNING (v / V )
To tune in the desired station.
MARKER
Marks any point during playback.
SEARCH
Displays MARKER SEARCH menu.
VOLUME (v / V )
- Adjusts volume of speaker.
-Adjusts volume of TV in TV mode.
DISPLAY, CLK/CNT
Accesses On-Screen display.
Switches among the clock, tape counter and
tape remaining modes on the display.
b /B/v/V (left/right/up/down)
- Selects an option in the menu.
- CH/TRK (v/V): Selects VCR channels in
VCR mode ; Selects TV channels in TV
mode.
- Manually adjusts the tape’s picture
onscreen in VCR mode.
- b/B can also change the speed of VCR
playback. For example, slow, still, 2x play,
3x play, review and cue.
TV/VCR
To view channels selected by the VCR tuner
or by the TV tuner.
ENTER, MEMORY
- Acknowledges menu selection.
- Displays functions on the TV screen.
SETUP, MENU
Accesses or removes DVD Setup menu and
VCR menu.
MUTE
Turns off sound from speaker connectors.
Note
This remote control uses the
same buttons for VCR and
DVD functions (ex. PLAY).
To use the VCR, first press
the VCR button.
To use the DVD, first press
the DVD/CD button.
